Antarctica
The Last Great Wilderness.
At the very edge of the world lies a place unlike any other – a realm of ice, light and endless horizons. Antarctica captivates the imagination with towering glaciers, sculpted icebergs and spectacular wildlife found nowhere else on earth. Penguin colonies crowd rocky shores, seals bask on drifting ice, and whales surface in crystal-clear waters.
Remote, pristine and wildly beautiful – this is a land with no permanent inhabitants that welcomes only a lucky few each year.
We have travelled both routes ourselves and accompany you with a guide team that knows Antarctica from firsthand experience – two ways to reach the end of the world, you choose the one that suits you.
Variant 1 – Antarctica by Ship (12 days)
“The Classic Expedition”
For those who want the full adventure: crossing the notorious Drake Passage, sleeping on a small expedition ship, landing by Zodiac. This is Antarctica in its purest form.
The itinerary is shown without fixed prices. Every journey is tailored individually to your wishes and travel dates. Get in touch – we will prepare a personal offer for you.

Day-by-day itinerary

Arrival Ushuaia, Argentina
Arrival in Ushuaia – the world’s southernmost city, on the shores of the Beagle Channel. Transfer to hotel. The evening is yours: explore the town, taste Patagonian cuisine, feel the anticipation.

Embarkation & Beagle Channel
Embarkation on MS Sea Spirit. Sail through the historic Beagle Channel – following in the wake of Charles Darwin. The wilderness begins here.

Drake Passage: Heading South
The legendary Drake Passage – notorious and fascinating in equal measure. Albatrosses accompany the ship, storm petrels glide over the waves, perhaps the first whales appear. Expert lectures on board prepare you for what lies ahead.

Drake Passage: The Tension Builds
Second day on the Drake. The tension builds with every kilometre. In the afternoon: first sighting of the South Shetland Islands on the horizon – the White Continent comes into view.

First Landing: South Shetland Islands
First Zodiac landing – a moment no one forgets. Penguin colonies as far as the eye can see, steaming volcanic landscapes. Possibly Deception Island – an active caldera where you can bathe between penguins and hot springs.

Exploring the South Shetlands
Further exploration of the South Shetland Islands. Zodiac rides between icebergs in shades of blue and turquoise that no photograph can truly capture. Every ice formation is unique.

Antarctic Peninsula: Gerlache Strait
Sailing into the Gerlache Strait – the heart of the Antarctic Peninsula. Humpback whales surface beside the ship, leopard seals rest on drifting ice, Adélie penguins scurry across rocks.

Paradise Harbour
Paradise Harbour – the name says it all. Mirror-calm waters, blue icebergs, glowing ice cliffs. One of the most photogenic places on earth. Possibly a visit to an Argentine research station.

Lemaire Channel & Farewell to the Ice
The Lemaire Channel – affectionately called “Kodak Gap” by expedition travellers, because here the shutter simply won’t stop. Between vertical rock faces and drifting icebergs: one last great moment before the return journey.

Northward across the Drake Passage
Return crossing of the Drake. The albatrosses accompany the ship northward. Time to reflect, review photos, share experiences with fellow travellers.

Farewell at Sea
Last day at sea. Farewell celebration with cocktails and a photo slideshow of all experiences. Exchange of contacts and memories.

Disembarkation Ushuaia
Disembarkation in Ushuaia. Homeward bound – with one more continent in your soul.
Variant 2 – Antarctica by Air (8 days)
“The World’s Most Comfortable Antarctica Journey”
You fly directly to Antarctica, bypassing the Drake Passage entirely. More time on the ice, less time at sea. On the boutique expedition ship MS Magellan Explorer.
