Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport – Meet and greet – Drive to your hotel in Entebbe
Your guide will meet you at Entebbe International Airport and take you to your hotel.
If there is still time, you can explore the botanical gardens of Entebbe – a relaxed introduction to Uganda’s nature. Lake Victoria – Africa’s largest lake – offers a fantastic backdrop.

Day 2: Entebbe Town – Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking on foot – Murchison Falls National Park – Top of the Murchison Falls
We will visit the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda where rhinos live in the wild. Then, we will continue to the spectacular Murchison Falls, where the Nile plunges 43 meters through a narrow gorge. Murchison Falls National Park is an impressive natural paradise that combines savannah and rainforest and is home to over 70 species of mammals.

Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park – Morning game drive safari – Afternoon boat cruise on the Nile – Night game drive
Time to explore Murchison Falls National Park and, with a bit of luck, we will encounter elephants, lions and many other animals of the savannah.
In the afternoon, we take a boat trip on the Nile to the mighty waterfalls – past hippos, monitor lizards and crocodiles.
After dinner, we set off on a night game drive. With luck, we will spot nocturnal animals such as leopards in the spotlight. The mysterious soundscape of the savannah at night is an unforgettable experience.

Day 4: Murchison Falls National Park – Mubaku Community – Butaiba landing site on Lake Albert – Kibale Forest National Park
We will visit the Mubaku community, experience traditional music and dance performances, and talk to the locals. Then, we will continue to the historic fishing village of Butiaba Landing Site on Lake Albert, where we will learn about traditional fishing methods. Next, we drive to Kibale Forest National Park, also known as “Africa’s primate capital.” No other place is home to more primate species, including over 1,500 chimpanzees and various other monkey species. Along the way, we will enjoy magnificent views of tea plantations and the mystical Rwenzori Mountains.

Day 5: Kibale Forest National Park – Chimpanzee tracking – Bigodi Community tour
Another highlight is awaiting us: we are going to track chimpanzees through the dense Kibale rainforest. After finding a group of chimpanzees, we will spend up to an hour watching them climb, play, and eat. In the early evening, we head to the Bigodi community to gain insight into everyday life, culture, and crafts. To top it all off, we enjoy a lively performance featuring music, dance, and drumming.

Day 6: Kibale Forest National Park – Kasenda Crater Lake exploration tour – Queen Elizabeth National Park – Evening game drive
An amazing adventure awaits. We will hike through the Kasenda Crater landscape to the famous Ndali-Kasenda Viewpoint, also known as the “Top of the World,” where we will enjoy spectacular views of Kibale National Park and the majestic Rwenzori Mountains. Then, we drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, which is famous for its tree-climbing lions and the Kazinga Channel, home to the world’s largest population of hippos. Our first evening game drive begins in the late afternoon. With a bit of luck, we may see lions, Uganda kob, elephants, and large herds of buffalo at dusk.

Day 7: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Morning game drive – Afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga channel
Today we head to the Kasenyi Plains in the north of Queen Elizabeth National Park – one of the most impressive savannahs in Africa. Around 5,000 hippos, 2,500 elephants and 10,000 buffaloes live here – an unforgettable nature experience. In the afternoon, we take a boat tour on the Kazinga Canal, where hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants and antelopes can be seen drinking and bathing at close range. At the end of the day, a relaxed evening game drive awaits us, during which we can discover more wild animals accompanied by the setting sun.

Day 8: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Game drive in the Ishasha sector to spot tree-climbing lions – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
In the morning, we will drive to the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. This region is famous for its tree-climbing lions, which often rest high up in the trees. Then, we continue to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, home to nearly half of the world’s mountain gorillas and one of Africa’s oldest rainforests. The park boasts over 400 plant species, around 119 mammal species, over 350 bird species, and at least 200 butterfly species, making it a unique natural paradise.

Day 9: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park – Mountain gorilla trekking
A highlight of the journey is gorilla tracking in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We set off on foot with a guide through the dense and sometimes steep rainforest. After several hours, we finally reach a gorilla family. We will have an unforgettable hour with the silverback, playful young gorillas, and caring mothers — a deeply moving encounter and unforgettable experience.

Day 10: Lake Mburo National Park – Night game drive
We will set off for Lake Mburo National Park, which is home to over 68 species of mammals, including zebras, elands, buffalo, Defassa waterbucks, oribis, giraffes, and topis, as well as over 350 species of birds. In the evening, we will go on a night game drive to explore the mysterious world of the nocturnal jungle. If we’re lucky, we might see nocturnal animals such as leopards and spotted hyenas. Sleeping in the African bush is one of the most intense and impressive experiences.

Day 11: Lake Mburo National Park – Morning jungle walking safari – Evening game drive
Early in the morning, we go on a walking safari in Lake Mburo National Park to experience the wilderness up close, on foot and without a car. In the evening, we went on a game drive through acacia forests, swamps, and grasslands. There, we spotted zebras, impalas, reedbuck, warthogs, leopards, and more. Lake Mburo is the only park in Uganda with elands, impalas, and klipspringers. It is also home to around 5,000 zebras, the largest population in Uganda, and probably has the highest density of leopards in the country.

Day 12: Lake Mburo National Park – Drive to Entebbe International Airport
Enjoy a relaxed start to the day. On the way back to Entebbe International Airport, we will stop at the equator in Kayabwe. The Equator Monument is a popular photo spot where you can stand with one foot in each hemisphere. This concludes our 12-day Uganda safari, which was full of experiences and unforgettable encounters.
